Paul & Kersey | Newport Beach Wedding (Part I)
Continuing on from Paul and Kersey's rehearsal post, I present... The events leading UP to the wedding! :D (Betcha were expecting the actual wedding by now, eh?) I'm finding that I love so many of these, I can't pick and choose just a few to show, so I have to show a lot. And in the process, divide these up into multiple posts. So bear with me, through this multi-post wedding!

Kersey's aunt did an incredible job arranging all of the flowers! The bouquets, table centerpieces, and corsages were all made by her the morning of. All fresh, and just gorgeous! (Becky and I got to help a bit too, which was a treat for us!)

Kersey did everyone's makeup––and did an incredible job!! Never before have I seen such a multitasking yet relaxed bride on the morning of her wedding! I aspire to be like her one day. :)

This ring photo is probably my favourite ring photo I've ever taken. The significance of the candy is that it's salt water taffy from Kersey's tiny hometown in California. I recognized the package in the cottage right away, as it was a familiar local treat when my family lived there, and I HAD to get a photo of them with SOMETHING from their wedding... so what better than with something their own size?

And of course, with the game-of-choice from the whole week, I had to incorporate the rings in there too... ;)
This is Calin: the bridesmaid/fabulous hair stylist who did an unbelievable job!! Calin, I've actually tried copying the style you did your hair in a couple of times, and I can't get it quite right. I might have to come visit so you can teach me. Or style it for me. ;)

We actually did most of the portraits before heading to the cruise ship for the ceremony, but I'm going to feature those in another post. For now, we'll skip ahead to the ship, where the bridal party played cards, relaxed with a bottle of champagne, and the guests started to line the dock waiting to board...

Stay tuned for photos from the ceremony and reception! More to come: Portraits from the wedding day, and the amazing "Day After" session!
