I've had a VERY busy few weeks, so instead of posting all of my favorites at once (like I normally do), I'm going to start off with a few preview...
Tony and Lee Anne were such a sweet couple and so good about being out in the cold!! It was FREEZING the day of their shoot!!! We took a few breaks to head inside to the nearest coffee shop or our vehicles to warm our hands and toes, and I think it all paid off... :)
It's that time of year... almost!
My family owns a chocolate company (Sweet Somethings), and for the past couple of weeks, we've gone into production in anticipation of our Valentine's Day orders. Today I had the privilege of taking the promo photos of our new treats... and what fun it turned out to be! Mom just asked if I could take some shots of the items individually so we'd have them for inventory and to show store-owners who might be buying them in bulk, but I'm no good at "simply taking a couple of photos."
So out came my pink cowboy hat (bought during the Calgary trip, incidentally), some pink tissue paper, and we had a lovely pink photo session! :D
I love pink. :)

I'm experiencing some down time (actually, since I've got several shoots coming up over the next couple of weeks, I guess it's the calm before the storm!), so I decided to digging through the ol' archives and pull out some photos I've barely even looked at! These are from the summer of 2007, when I had the very awesome privilege of visiting Calgary, Alberta during Stampede week with my aunt, uncle, and cousins!
Some of my other favorites can be found in my Flickr gallery, but hopefully I'll get a chance to post those on here at some point too.
Anyhow! Without further ado...
You know, I think I should try putting a little more effort into blogging... not because I have so many wonderful things to say, but because with the way things look right now, you'd think I was in hibernation or something! (Amazing how one can appear when one is only seen online, hm? ;)
The truth is, I've been unbelievably busy the past few weeks!! I've been so blessed... SOMEhow, my website is being found via Google (YAY!), and I've gotten a ton of inquiries for weddings, maternity portraits, family portraits... you name it! I'm not really sure how or why, but God's really blessing me, and I am so incredibly grateful!
I do have several shoots to post photos from, but again... not a whole lot of time. I'll try, though. ;) At the very least, I want to put an effort into updating a couple times a week just to show that I am, in fact, alive!
I've also been getting a lot of freelance art jobs which is awesome! I don't have a website for that work yet, but you can look me up on Facebook! I have a page if you search for "Deborah Thomson," you'll find my profile and then my Graphic Artist page. (By the way, I've also got a Figgie page on FB too for anyone who's on there as much as I am! ;)
Anyhoo, I'm also updating my links in the sidebar to draw some attention to some of my family members' businesses in case any of ya'll are interested... :)
